Business Compliance
Compliance comes from “to comply”, meaning to follow requirements — ensuring that a business acts in accordance with law, sector rules and its internal standards. In practice it is an organised system for identifying risks, implementing preventive procedures and monitoring adherence. We help businesses build that system and keep it aligned with changing law. We are based in Łódź and advise clients throughout Poland.
Well-implemented compliance provides real protection against financial penalties, board liability and reputational damage. In many areas, procedures are a statutory requirement rather than simply good practice.

Who Must Implement Compliance?
The obligations depend on the sector and scale of operations. Particularly demanding requirements apply to financial services, entities subject to AML rules, including accountants, law firms and estate agents, listed companies and public procurement contractors. Basic duties affect almost every business: even sole traders must comply with GDPR, employment and tax law. The scale and formality of the system should fit the company, which is central to our work.

Key Compliance Areas
Compliance covers many areas. Three of the most important, and frequently mandatory, are:
Personal Data Protection (GDPR) — applying to almost every business processing customer or employee data. It covers policies, documentation, breach response and the data protection officer’s role. Our dedicated page explains GDPR for Business.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) — applying to obliged entities and carrying severe sanctions, including the loss of permission to operate. It requires financial security measures, customer acceptance policies and cooperation with the General Inspector of Financial Information. See our page on AML — Anti-Money Laundering.
Whistleblower Protection — legislation requires many businesses to establish internal reporting channels and response procedures. We help design systems that meet legal requirements and protect those reporting concerns.

How We Implement Compliance
We always begin with an audit and risk mapping: identifying the applicable rules and assessing the likelihood and impact of breaches. We prioritise what matters, since not every business needs every type of system immediately. We then prepare documentation and procedures, implement them and train the team, providing ongoing support and updates where needed.
Compliance is closely linked to tax security. In disputes with authorities, we also support clients during tax audits. We provide this as part of comprehensive legal support for businesses, combining legal and tax expertise in one team.
